That is why for years, we have employed Alnet Systems Inc DVR cards and software. The software included in these DVR cards not only provide unparalleled control of the user interface for the cameras, but also delivers best in class playback capabilities.
After all, a camera system is only as good as its playback capabilities. When the heat is on and something has actually happened at your home or business, you need to be able to playback the video quickly and easily. In our Alnet PC based systems, you can quickly find the video and play it back in seconds instead of sitting at your computer all day long to find the video that you are looking for and play it back. This will let you get back to your real life faster.
First, the Alnet Systems DVR Cards and NVR Hybrid Software provides an easy to use time bar at the top of the screen during playback. Each horizontal bar represents a camera. Then inside the bar, blue represents time where there was no recording, while green shows time that the system was picking up motion and recording.
Preview pane shows a snapshot and updates as you move your mouse
Next, hovering your mouse over any of the recordings on the time bar will open up a preview pane that will show you a miniature snapshot of exactly what was happening at that point in time. That way, you can graphically actually SEE what was happening, so that you can find the start of the video you wish to playback. Once you find it, simply left click your mouse to set the cursor.
Playback Video easily once you find it with the VCR Playback Controls
Finally, the VCR style playback controls at the top left of the screen will allow you to control the playback of the video of all of the cameras. Then export video and go about your day!
This is very different from the playback that you can find on other systems like GeoVision, which simply give you a long list of files on the screen, so you can only find video if you know what time the event occurred…otherwise you can simply sit back and play through all of the video to find it – BORING! No one wants to really watch that much video…not even camera guys!
