One of our most popular hidden nanny spy cameras is our ALM-DVR1 mini alarm clock spy camera or ALM-DVRHD1 high definition alarm clock cameras.  These cameras are completely self-contained devices that record onto a built-in DVR with motion detection capabilities.  These alarm clock mini hidden cameras are very popular because they are completely portable, making them ideal to use for any traveller, apartment dweller or homeowner.  Simply charge up the battery on these hidden mini nanny cameras, and set them to record.  The battery in these clocks can last up to 12 hours with motion detection recording.

Unlike most purveyors of spy cameras, we have ACTUALLY USE our products, and we know how they work.  That is why we have spent the time to write our own manuals to replace the poorly (or non-translated) chinese manuals that come with most spy cameras.  We have also put together instructional videos like the one above, that will walk you through all of the functions and features of your new spy camera so that you can actually use it too.  Get your next hidden nanny spy cameras from the experts at Platinum CCTV

Security Cameras Provide Evidence of what happened

Many homeowners find out too late that they need video coverage of the outside of their home.  This is because some people just don’t respect your property like you would like them to.  So it is usually after theft or vandalism that a homeowner will realize that cameras would be very helpful outside of their home.  Usually this happens after they have already contacted the police about an event that has happened outside of their home.  Often it is due to vandalism, damage to a vehicle in the parking lot, annoying banging on the house or door at all hours of the night, theft, break-ins or more.  However, when the police arrive, unfortunately it is not like the scenes you see on CSI.  The police force does not have the manpower, budget or technology to conduct fingerprints, screen DNA or take more time or evidence to try to track down someone who committed a misdemeanor.  So in all reality, if you did not see them do it, or do not have any proof of who did it, then they will usually just fill out a report and head on their way.

This is one of the prime reasons that outdoor home security cameras are becoming very popular.  These cameras can record what happens in or around your home, to provide evidence that can be very useful if something happens.  That way, the next time your home becomes victim to vandalism or theft, you will have evidence of who committed the crime, and can provide the police with some evidence of your own.  Outdoor home security cameras can help take the guesswork out of what happened, and help deliver more peace of mind, allowing you to park your cars outside again.

Outdoor Home Security Camera with Infrared Night Vision

Most of our outdoor home security cameras also have infrared night vision capabilities, delivering the ability to see even in pitch black conditions at night.  Each of these cameras has various range of infrared night vision, but because we start with good low-lux (low light) image sensors, our infrared night vision home security cameras get the most out of the infrared light that reflects back to the camera to provide the best quality infrared night vision.  Some manufacturers will just throw IR LEDs onto a camera that has a basic image sensor that does not have low light capabilities, and call it a night vision camera.  But at Platinum CCTV, we always make sure to start with the lowest light image sensor available in the resolution class, so no matter which budget range you are shopping, we will have a good low light image sensor to suit your needs.

Covert Smoke Detector Home Security Camera with Audio

The most popular cameras for inside home installations, are hidden style covert cameras.  These cameras have a pinhole lens and are hidden inside of different objects that can be hidden in plain sight.  We have many different models of covert/hidden home security cameras.   These cameras are very popular for homeowners who are looking to watch their children at home, monitor a maid or nanny inside of their home, watching a home healthcare worker or more.

Our most popular hidden cameras for indoor home installations are our motion detector style hidden security cameras and our new smoke detector style hidden cameras.  These cameras are hidden inside of smoke detectors and motion detectors that are commonplace inside homes.  That way, when people come into your home, they are not stared in the face by a large camera.  These cameras blend right in, so people will never even see them, but the cameras will definitely see them!

Hidden Infrared Motion Detector Security Cameras

Hidden Infrared IR Motion Detector Security Cameras

Our motion detector style cameras look like a standard alarm system motion detector, and come in 2 different versions.  Our CD-7226 motion detector camera has a wide angle lens and low-light image sensor, while our CD-7360 motion detector hidden spy camera model has a higher resolution 540 TVL Sony® CCD image sensor, and Infrared night vision so it can see even in no-light conditions.  These cameras come with an adjustable wall mount bracket, so you can easily adjust the angle of the camera to cover the area of the room that is most important to you.  These cameras both have a wide angle lens with a 90° viewable angle to give you maximum room coverage.

The newest addition to our line of hidden security cameras is our CD-7402 Smoke Detector Style Hidden Camera.  This camera has a built-in pinhole lens and covert microphone built into the body of a functional smoke detector.  This hidden camera has a 520 TVL Sony® CCD Image sensor to deliver great quality color video during the daytime and sense-up electronic slow shutter speed for low light night vision.  This new camera can blend into any home where smoke detectors are used, and best thing is that the smoke detector actually works too!

These cameras can be added in to any existing home security camera system, or we have camera systems assembled that have these cameras in them already as well.

Check your Security Camera Archives

You rely on your home or business security camera systems to have video when something happens.  However, with all electronics, failures can occur…or perhaps so can human error.  So it is a good idea, at least 1 time per week that you check your security camera system…make sure that it is up and running and that the cameras are recording and playing back properly.  We have found on several occasions that customers have accidentally turned off the recording on their camera system, and only found out when they went to playback video after an incident occurred.  This regular maintenance on your security camera system will go a long way towards ensuring your cameras will be there for your when you need them most.

Be proactive with your camera system, and make sure that you are checking to make sure that the system is active and recording, as well as capable of playing back.  Make it a weekly check to ensure that the equipment is still operating and to make sure that you haven’t disabled it.

For PC based systems, like our Alnet PC Based DVR Cards, make sure that you log out of the software but leave it running when not in use, this will ensure that your system is still recording, but that no one who is not authorized can shut off the recording.  Be safe, and be smart with your camera system, and it will continue to serve your needs in the years to come.
